About Lullabies for Falling Empires
Lullabies for Falling Empires is a NYC-based collective orchestra. Richard Webb and Carlos Esparza formed the project, featuring strings, guitars, harp, voices, and elecronics, in Seattle in 2009. Performances are accompanied by the hypnotic film and video work of Leo Mayberry (Degenerate Art Ensemble) and Amanda Long (BK based video artist).Their stunning ambient soundcapes show influences including Philip Glass, Johann Johannsson, Sigur Ros, Gamelan, and West African music.
