About Luke Faulkner

Luke Faulkner (born June 28, 1991) is a British pianist and composer. Born in Shropshire, England, Luke studied piano and composition at Chetham's School of Music before attending Christ Church, University of Oxford on an academic scholarship to read music. At Oxford he studied techniques of composition with Professors David Maw and Stephen Darlington. After graduating Bachelor of Arts with first class honours from Oxford, Luke continued his education at the University of Edinburgh, studying for a Master of Science in Composition for Screen.
