
Louise Massey, along with her family act The Westerners, was a popular country act during Depression-era America. Born Victoria Louise Massey in Texas in 1908, Massey was a geniune cowgirl and along with her musical family, made up of brothers Curt and Allen, her fiddler father Dad Massey and her bassist husband Milt Mabbie, began touring around the United States and Canada, eventually earning a five-year stint on radio station KMBC in Kansas City.
