
Guitarist Louis Stewart (5 January 1944 – 20 August 2016) was a cornerstone of Ireland's jazz scene from the 1960s. During his career he worked with legends such as Ronnie Scott, George Shearing and Clark Terry, as well as recording acclaimed albums with flautist Brian Dunning, drummer John Wadham and pianist Jim Doherty. Stewart's seminal solo guitar album 'Out on his Own' was released by Livia records in 1977.
