About Louis Beaudoin
Louis Beaudoin (d. 1980) was considered to be one of the finest fiddle players in the French-Canadian tradition. Beaudoin was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. His father played fiddle at parties and weddings for the French-Canadian community in Lowell. At the age of fifteen Louis took up the fiddle too, and was taught in the traditional amnner by his parents. He also learned the correct way to tap his feet, an extremely important part of the French-Canadian fiddle tradition
