About Lou Ann Barton
Lou Ann Barton (born in Fort Worth, TX, on 17 February 1954) is an American blues singer based in Austin, TX, since the 1970s. Prior to that, she was a member of W.C. Clark Blues Revue, Double Trouble, and Roomful of Blues. Although she doesn't tour nearly as much as she probably could, Austin-based vocalist Barton is one of the finest purveyors of raw, unadulterated roadhouse blues. Like Delbert McClinton, she can belt out a lyric so that she can be heard over a two-guitar band with horns.
