"Los Parientes" are a band that come from the municipality of Playa Vicente, in the state of Veracruz, Mexico; located in the region of Xochiapan, on the border between the states of Veracruz and Oaxaca. Since its foundation in 1987, the band is devoted to research and divulge antique “jarocho” music, both in its way of performing, playing and singing, as well as dancing and making verses.
