About Los Gusanos
C.J. Ramone's side project became his full-time gig after the Ramones called it quits. Los Gusanos' music is hard rock/metal, and is very different than the Ramones. The songs are great and should appeal to many Ramones fans. In Los Gusanos, C.J. dropped the surname Ramone and instead used his real last name of Ward. In March, 2000, Los Gusanos broke up. Among the reasons cited were record company problems, revolving drummers, and the departure of guitarist Ed Lynch.
