About Los Autenticos
(Not to be confused with Los Auténticos Decadentes, from Argentina) Los Autenticos (English: 'The Authentic') was a short-lived pop/rock band from Castellón known by fans as the 'Spanish Beatles' for its layered melodic sound. The group had massive local success in parts of Spain during the 80s. The members were the brothers Peter and Miguel Angel Villanueva, Juan Antonio Morcillo, and Jesus Gimeno. They released their debut album in November 1981 after the success of their four singles on Spain's Radio 3.
