About London Jazz Quartet
The London Jazz Quartet, led by drummer Tony Crombie, who had played almost solely with big bands, was formed to record an album in 1959. The tracks were all Crombie originals, and the personnel were: Tubby Hayes - alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, flute, vibes Alan Branscombe - alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, vibes, piano Tony Crombie - piano, drums Jack Fallon - bass
