Artist. Songwriter. Activist. LNKAY consists of Stockholm based Ellen Stokstad. She calls her genre ”anxiety pop” - joyful, dance friendly - with an honest message. Her music usually has one foot in the nineties and the other one is carefree and stomping to the beat of the strong contemporary woman. The name, LNKAY is an abbreviation of another Ellen, Ellen Key, a prominent feminist in Sweden who raised her voice in the 1800’s. The choice of muse is a stand that rings through everything LNKAY does.
