Lifeguard is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2019, the band consists of guitarist and vocalist Kai Slater, bassist Asher Case, and drummer Isaac Lowenstein. Known for their energetic live performances and improvisational songwriting style, Lifeguard has gained recognition within the Chicago DIY music scene and beyond. Lifeguard was formed in mid-2019 when Kai Slater, Asher Case, and Isaac Lowenstein met at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.
