Lice Shampoo was formed in Tblisi, Georgia in Spring 1978 by four tourists who almost immediately got on an airplane and headed back to London where they lived, to work on their debut EP, the imaginatively titled Lice Shampoo EP [Silly-Billy Records]. Originally called The Shampoo Lice, the band changed their name to reflect the names of the original members - Johnny Sham (Vocals), Kristoff Pool (Guitars and moogs), Saiera Li (bass, and standing about a bit) and the improbably named Bartholemew Ce (Drums and percussion).
