Years later, she joined Simentera, the most important band of the island. There she met musician Mario Lucio Sousa and with his help recorded her first solo album. Her debut CD is entitled "Amornado" (for Love and Morna) and is a collection of 9 haunting and mournful songs. In a very traditional way
