
As a young musician, (19 yrs.), Pierre was asked to become the first fiddle player with the Grammy winner and legendary "Queen Ida and the Bon Temps Zydeco Band" of Lake Charles, Louisiana. After his first engagement with the band at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Monterey, California, Pierre was given the opportunity to spend years studying the music of the southern states of America while performing and recording and with Queen Ida, her younger brother Al "Rapone" Lewis
