Lawndale was a short-lived instrumental surf band that released two albums on Greg Ginn's punk label, SST. Beyond Barbecue and Sasquatch Rock contain nods to jazz, country, soul, German oom-pah music and more, all flowing together seamlessly (such as the bridge from Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love that appears in the midst of a relatively faithful rendition of the jazz standard Take Five...a creative stretch that works surprisingly well).
