About Laurens Van Rooyen
Laurens van Rooyen is een van Nederlands bekendste (film) componisten en pianisten. Hij werd 27 March 1935 geboren in Utrecht en bezocht daar het conservatorium, waar hij samen met medestudent Herman van Veen het populaire muziektheater Harlekijn oprichtte. Vanaf begin jaren tachtig trok zijn solocarrière al snel de aandacht. Hij werkte samen met diverse platenmaatschappijen en speelde in tal van landen. Van zijn hand verschenen meer dan vijfenveertig CD’s met internationaal bekende nummers als Just a Simple Lovesong en Imaginary Landscapes.
