She began writing music at the age of 13 when she first picked up a guitar, but did not start performing originals until she was 16. Growing up on a diet of David Bowie and Kate Bush introduced to her by her mum, at the age of 14 she stole a load of her Dad's old CD's and band merch, and would grow to have a love for shoegaze artists such as Curve and My Bloody Valentine
