Kennedy is especially known for her collaborations with composers Jason Robert Brown (on The Last 5 Years), Frank Wildhorn (on Waiting for the Moon, WONDERLAND), and David Kirshenbaum (Vanities). Kennedy received her Broadway debut understudying Alice Ripley as Betty Schaeffer in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical SUNSET BLVD., in roles she originated in the Los Angeles / American premiere, in which she understudied Judy Kuhn.
