About Laurel Halo
Laurel Halo is an electronic musician and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. She is known for her genre-fluid catalog, drawing on jazz, dub, ambient, pop, and techno. Halo explores diverse soundscapes of “drifting art pop pieces”, “jazz-inspired experimental techno,” and “minimalist ambient compositions.” Her debut album, Quarantine, was dubbed as Album of the Year 2012 by the music magazine The Wire. Her work has been released on labels like Hyperdub, Honest Jon’s, and Portraits GRM.
