About Laugh
Laugh were a bunch of lads from Stockport, South Manchester, who got together in the mid 80's. The most commonly recognised line-up is: Martin Wright (guitar, vocals), Ian Bendelow (guitar) Martin Mittler (bass) and Spencer Birtwistle (drums). Laugh first came to national attention following a court case in which Bertwistle's grandmother (dubbed 'Game Granny Bowers' by the NME) was prosecuted for noise pollution after allowing the band to practice in her basement.
