About Last Straw
There are two bands known as Last Straw: 1. Formed on the Isle of Wight in the Early 70's the band consisted of: Jack Charles Toole - Drums Peyte Burnan - Guitar/vocals Geoff Taylor - Guitar/Keyboards/Lead Vocals Steve Griffin - Guitar/Vocals Phil Truckel - Bass With more than a nod to Wishbone Ash and Lynryd Skynryd, they combined highly melodic guitar based music with almost Tolkeinian lyrics such as on Alone on a Stone. The band toured extensively playing at such venues as Portsmouth Polytechnic
