
About LaShawn Daniels
LaShawn Daniels (born LaShawn Ameen Daniels in Newark, NJ, on 28 December 1977; died 3 September 2019) was an American songwriter. He was known for his songwriting credits on songs by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Whitney Houston. Daniels won a Grammy Award in 2000 for songwriting on "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child, and was nominated again in 2013 for "Love and War" performed by Tamar Braxton. Daniels worked with longtime colleague Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and wrote several of the Darkchild Team's hit songs
