About Laestrygonia
Laestrygonia (https://www.facebook.com/Laestrygonia) is a 4 piece instrumental band out of Geneva, NY who take their name from an island in Homer's Greek epic, The Odyssey. They formed in the winter of 2010 with the (broad) intent of making instrumental progressive metal. With influences from Cloudkicker to Meshuggah to Year of No Light, Laestrygonia planned to gel pieces of the post-rock, djent, and prog genres into an emotional spectrum of tension and release.
