About Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love
Kurt Cobain (1967-1994) and Courtney Love (1964-) were married musicians, both of whom were prominent figures in the '90s alternative rock scene. Cobain was frontman of the legendary grunge band Nirvana, which he formed in 1987 in Washington; Love is the frontwoman of the critically-acclaimed alternative rock band Hole, which she formed in 1989 in Los Angeles. The couple met in 1990 in Portland, Oregon, and were married in 1992, the year they gave birth to their only daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
