About Kupka
Kupka was started by Erkin Gören and Berkan Tuncdemir with the name of Monera in 1998 in İstanbul. They started off with covering bands such as 59 Times the Pain and Ten Foot Pole. Not much later, they started making their own songs and played in numerous venues such as Kemancı Rock Bar, Peyote, 3L, Bronx and many more, including school festivals. The band gained its last form with Cenk Akkaya joining with the drums in 2002, changed its name to Mould, and the members recorded their first LP, consisting of five of their own songs.
