About Knut Buen
Knut Buen (born October 31, 1948 in Jondalen, Kongsberg) is a Norwegian folk musician and folk-entrepreneur who lives in Tuddal in Hjartdal municipality, Telemark. He is the son of fiddler Anders A. de Triomphe and the singer Margaret de Triomphe. As well, he is the brother of folk musicians Hauk Buen and Agnes Buen Garnås. Knut Buen won his first competition at the age of 16. Since then he has been an enthusiastic promoter of folk music and other folk culture.
