About Klas Torstensson
Klas Torstensson (born january 16, 1951 in Jänssö, Sweden) is a Swedish composer who lives in The Netherlands since 1973. Torstensson studied at the Ingesunds Music school in Arvika, where he studied clarinet, music theory and composition. He continued with a study music science at the University of Göteborg. In 1973 he moved to The Netherlands to study computer music at the Institute of Sonology in Utrecht. In 1991 Torstensson won the Matthijs Vermeulen award, the most important compostion award in The Netherlands.
