About Klangwart
Electronic duo Klangwart was founded by Markus Detmer (15 March 1972) and Timo Reuber (31 October 1970) in Cologne in 1996. Detmer and Reuber first met at the musicology department of Cologne university in 1992 where they came together through their mutual interest in New Music (especially the Minimal Music of Steve Reich and Terry Riley) and electronic music of the 20th century. Heavily inspired by the growing electronic music scene in Cologne since the beginning of the 90s
