Kim English (born in Chicago; died April 2, 2019) was an American electronica, soul, gospel, and house music singer. English experienced a great deal of success on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts, beginning in the mid-nineties and continuing into the 21st century. Her first chart entry came in 1995 and was a minor hit ("I Know a Place," a US #32). Between 1999 to 2007, she scored eight hit singles in a row that hit the top two, five of those went to number one: "Unspeakable Joy"
