He has worked with artists like La' Chat, Mike Jones, Yo Gotti, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Nelly, Jim Jones, Blak Jak, Project Pat, Wifey, and more. His aliases are Nakia Shine, Kinfolk, Kia Shine, and Kinfolk Jones. In August 2006, he hosted an episode of BET's Rap City. Kia Shine was heavily involved in a feud with Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul following the release of Da Unbreakables in 2003.
