Kerkko Koskinen began as a member of Ultra Bra composing a bunch of Finnish pop music evergreens and since has made pop music, film scores and jazz. Koskinen’s fourth album, "Trains & Letters" (Ricky-Tick Records, 2011), approaches the 60's big band jazz through nine original compositions. The cinematically dramatic, yet melodically swinging instrumental songs give plenty of freedom to the Finnish jazz visionaries, like saxophonist Timo Lassy, trumpeter Jukka Eskola and especially drummer Teppo Mäkynen, who also wore the producer’s hat.
