About Kerith Ravine
Kerith Ravine was started by Michael Shepard in Alliance, OH in 1997 with Patrick Boyle, Brian Yoder, and Adam Ladd. They refer to their genre as "Engineering Rock." "The meaning behind the name Kerith Ravine comes from 1 Kings 17. Here, Elijah went to the king of Israel and prophesied that it would not rain for the next few years until he had given the word. God then instructed Elijah to go hide in the Kerith Ravine, where he was supplied with water to drink from a brook, and ravens brought him food twice a day.
