
Kenneth Charles Branagh (born 10 December 1960) is a Northern Irish actor and film directorwho is best-known as one of the most important interpreters of Shakespeare in the late 20th century. Kenneth began his career at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (one of Britain's most prestigious drama schools), then moved onto the London stage and has been hailed as "the next Olivier" after migration to film with his 1989 screen adaptation of Henry V. He remains one of the leading exponents of Shakespeare in cinema today.
