About Kawada Masako
Masako Kawada (12 July 1934 - 22 January 2006) was a Japanese children's song singer. She joined the children's choir Otowa Yurikago-kai from an early age, and developed her talent under the tutelage of children's song composer Minoru Uminuma (who would later become her stepfather). She sang many children's songs and folk songs, and was a leading singer of Japanese children's song during and after the war.
