Katie The Pest was a duo from the Los Angeles area consisting of Talia Rose on guitar and vocals, and Mary on drums. Their sound consisted of loud distorted guitars and melodic vocals, slightly reminiscent of early 90's shoe gaze sound, with lyrics about literature, nature, and longing. They are also known for their cinematic music videos such as Tropic of Cancer and Golden. They played regularly at Long Beach venues such as The Que Sera and The Prospector.
