About KATADA Kisaku
Kisaku Katada III (三代目堅田喜三久, KATADA Kisaku) (born 1935) is a Grand Master of classical Japanese percussion. The Grand Master is known in Japan for not taking protégées and so far has given only three of his protégées part of his name KIKU. One of his protégées is Madame Katada Kikusa, head of the KATADA-KAI of USA. In 1999 KATADA Kisaku was designated as one of the Living National Treasures of Japan for Nagauta (Narimono).
