
Kali Masi are a punk/emo band from Chicago, Illinois, formed around 2012. Blending elements of punk rock, emo and hardcore, they create urgent, melodic songs with a deeply personal edge. Their debut album Wind Instrument (2017) introduced their raw yet thoughtful sound, followed by [laughs] in 2021, which further explored themes of identity, abuse, friendship and self-discovery with greater emotional depth. During the pandemic, they also released Square Pegs (2020), a collection of demos, covers and rehearsal recordings.
