About Julean and the Rai
Julean and the Rai is an indie folk band from New York City, founded in 2006 by vocalist and guitarist Julean Rai. Their first release was "The New York State Demos" EP in June, 2006. Since then, the group has had nine more releases, including three live albums and a fully instrumental album. Their most recent album is a full length release titled "The War of the Sons of Light against the Sons of Darkness", released on June 17th, 2017. Julean and the Rai was also a part of the Anti-Folk scene in 2006 and 2007 in New York
