About Juha
There is more than one artist active under the name Juha. One is an artist born in the U.S. and currently residing in the U.K. In 2002, he began making political hip hop (stressing "queer issues") in Hawaii, releasing the 'Polari' album on Agitprop! Records. Fusing elements of Middle Eastern, Hawaiian, and punk music over a hip hop back-drop, the album went to #1 on the Outvoice chart. He described his sophomore effort, 'The Grooms of God," as "gothic soul" in sound - a fusion including soul, gothic, rock, dance, and world music.
