Joseph Anton Xaver Auffmann (c. 1720, Kempten, Germany - 1778, Pruntrut, Switzerland) was a German composer and organist. He was Franz Xaver Richter's successor as Kapellmeister to the prince-archbishop of Kempten-Allgäu in 1749, a post he held for seven years. In 1756 he moved to Straubing and subsequently probably to Donaueschingen before obtaining the position of organist for the Archbishop of Pruntrut in 1773.
