About Jongo Trio
Original Trio: Cido Bianchi (piano) Sabá (acoustic bass) Toninho Pinheiro (drums) Second trio: Paulo Roberto Cláiber Toninho Pinheiro Formed in 1965 by competent musicians of the bossa nova and early-Brazilian jazz period, the Jongo Trio performed shows in the reputed bossa venues Teatro de Arena, Teatro Paramount, and Cave nightclub, as well as performing on the TV show O Fino da Bossa show. Accompanied by Baden Powell, the group was paid tribute by the famous composer with "Feitinha Pro Poeta" (with Lula Freire).
