
About Jon Auer
Jon Auer (born 29 September 1969 in Bellingham, WA, United States) is an American guitarist, songwriter and singer, most widely known for being one half of the creative core of The Posies (1986-2021), along with Ken Stringfellow. Auer and Stringfellow were also part of the rejuvenated Big Star for some 17 years. As a solo artist, Auer's credentials include the EPs The Perfect Size (2000) and 6 1/2 (2001). They were followed by a full-length album: Songs from the Year of Our Demise (2006).
