
About Jok Jau Evong
Jok Jau Evong is an artist and activist of outstanding character. His tireless efforts to preserve and build the culture of the Kayan people in Borneo have been noticed by many. The Malaysian government does not allow him to leave his hometown of Marudi, Malaysia. The Borneo Project (of Berkeley) gives constant support to his efforts for the people and forests of Borneo. He holds the 'Right Livelihood' award. Now he has published a CD of the music of his people.
