Johnny Truant was an underground, Brighton based British metalcore band with progressive influences, formed in 2000 originally under the name Severance. The name Johnny Truant is taken from the book House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. The band split up in October 2008. Albums: No Tears for the Creatures (2008) In the Library of Horrific Events (2005, produced by Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage) The Repercussions of a Badly Planned Suicide (2002)
