Johnny Reinhard is a microtonal composer and virtuoso bassoonist. He employs many avant-garde techniques in his bassoon performance such as glissando and multiphonics, as well as using just intonation and other microtonal tuning systems. In 1981 he founded the American Festival of Microtonal Music.
