About Johnny Garner
Singer / Songwriter / Guitarist John William "Johnny" Garner. Born: Atlanta, 1938. Began musical career after moving to New Orleans, circa 1954. Appeared as vocalist/rhythm guitarist with Tony Farrdella in 'Tony Farr and The Swinging Guitars'. Recorded four songs: "Gonna Rock", "Baby Listen", "I'll Cry Again" and "Only Dreaming", circa 1956. These were independently recorded and never commercially released. Signed with Imperial Records, circa 1957.
