Joep Pelt (1979) is a singer songwriter in the broadest sense of the word. Raised in the ancient 'Songster' tradition of the United States, he finds inspiration in modern and traditional music of both Western and African realms. His style is a mix of pop, folk, Bambara swing, funk, delta- and desert blues. In a live setting these songs are performed solo, as a duo (with percussion) and with a highly explosive band. In the late '90s Joep traveled the South of the US in search of the roots of the delta blues.
