About Joel Taylor
There are several musicians named Joel Taylor: 1) Joel Taylor is a composer/improvisor specializing in experimental and improvised music, playing the shakuhachi, suling, computer, analog synthesizers, and keyboards. He has played extensively in gamelan groups on the west coast and is deeply ensconced in free improvisation and electronic music since the early 70s. Taylor has a deep interest in microtonality and polymicrotonality, and uses many different tuning systems in his current music.
