About Jochen Malmsheimer
Jochen Malmsheimer (* July 27, 1961, in Essen) is a German cabaret artist. Characteristic of his performances is the elaboration of life's mundane aspects with great vocal and verbal power. He grew up in Bochum from the age of six and graduated from Gymnasium am Ostring in 1982. After completing basic military service, he initially studied German literature and history at Ruhr-Universität Bochum but abandoned his studies in favor of an apprenticeship as a bookseller.
